Shannon Leis joined the law firm of Scott & Nemann Co., L.P.A. in 2008.
Shannon's law practice is dedicated to criminal defense. She has jury trial experience in cases ranging from misdemeanor OVI to murder. Shannon is certified by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the administration of Standardized Field sobriety Tests. In 2009, Shannon served as co-counsel in State v. Derris Lewis. Mr. Lewis was accused of brutally murdering his twin brother. He was later acquitted of all charges and received a $950,000.00 settlement from the City of Columbus.
In addition to her law practice, Shannon is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Capital University Law School where she teaches Forensic Evidence.
Shannon received the Louisville Slugger Award from the Central Ohio Association for Justice in 2009 and was named Capital University Law School Young Alumna of the Year in 2010.
Shannon currently serves as the Chairperson of the Criminal Law Committe for the Central Ohio Association for Justice. She is also a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Central Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
